Home

Earlier on in one of my previous blogs I've mentioned that a shower is a home and in my life right now I'm saying goodbye to my home today. This is my last day of school and frankly I'm a bit scared. These past years have been so memorable with all the friends I've gained and lost but I wouldn't change any of it. We said our goodbyes today and that's when it really settled in for me. Not seeing these beautiful people everyday pains me deeply, but that's what makes it so beautiful that it was only for a short amount of time. Our time here was special with all the friends and teachers that became our friends but all things must end.
This will be the last shower blog for a while. It's been a pleasure writing for all of you. I've really learned to enjoy our debates about shower  topics. It's been real.

Peeing in the Shower

Peeing in the shower is always a controversial thing to talk about. It somehow always ends in physical combat.  I don't understand why peeing in the shower is so looked down upon. It all ends up in the same place. There is no down side from peeing in the shower, the worst thing that can happen to you is some "back splash". And even then you can just wash it off with water from the shower. People who don't pee in the shower are evil. They just want to see the world burn. Our ecosystem is pretty bad at the moment and I don't know if you are aware that some places are even having a water shortage. It's a really sad thing and it's a shame some people don't care about earth. I love my world nay my home and that's why I pee in the shower.

Gentle Showers

This morning I had the weirdest experience. I woke up to take a shower not knowing that my brother was taking a shower in another bathroom. This event caused me to partake in a "gentle shower."
A gentle shower is when your shower head is dispersing water with little pressure. Usually my showers are pretty powerful but the pressure of the water was split between my shower and my brother's.
I've had these type of showers before but never in my own shower. It was nice at first, but my problem with it is that I wasn't feeling any cleaner from it. The shower was pointless, I wasn't even enjoying my shower time and honestly that's why I take showers.
Halfway through my experience suddenly the shower gained more pressure. It was like the heavens heard my pain and answered in little drops of water hitting my body with intense acceleration.
I soon realized that it was just my brother finishing his shower before mine. But through this experience it really made me appreciate what I was already used to which was a power shower.

Shower Thoughts

In the shower I become a self proclaimed philosopher. Ideas just seem to flood into my head. Is it possible that showers make me become more intelligent? Perhaps.
So this week I am dedicating my blog to shower thoughts. I've compiled a list of shower thoughts that you may also have thought about or find interesting.(These are not all my thoughts, they come from fellow my philosophers while in the shower.)
1. A "buttload" of underwear is just one pair.
2. Bathtubs are the reverse of boats.
3. If your shirt isn't tucked in into your pants then your pants are tucked in into your shirt.
4. If humans could fly then we would consider it exercise and never do it.
5. My right elbow has never been touched by my right hand.
6. Technically we are all half centaur.
7. The person who would proof read Hitler's speeches was a Grammar Nazi.
8. Your stomach thinks all potatoes are mashed potatoes.
9. In the word "scent" is the "s" or "c" silent?
10. Before falling asleep you must pretend you are asleep.

Night Showers vs Morning Showers.

It has come to my attention that not all people shower at a certain time of day. This has become a very controversial topic for some time. I for one am a morning showerer and take full pride in it. I have tried night showers and that lasted for about six months. Sometimes it was convenient to just wake up and go to school or wherever I needed to go. One really nice thing about it too is that there isn't a time limit on showering if you're doing it at night. I constantly lost track of time and the idea of time became non-existent.
The main problem I have with showering at night is that my morning showers wake me up. Showering right after I get up wakes me up and lets my mind get set for the oncoming day that will dawn on me. Morning showers made me feel clean every waking second while night showers were all I could think about because of how uncomfortable I felt.
Night showers are purely about pleasure while a morning shower are about preparation and cleanliness. So my verdict is definitely the morning shower although sometimes you have to treat yourself to a night one.

And for those who constantly take two showers a day you're wasting water. -_-

Shower affair

A shower is a home. There is no shower that feels like your own. Every other shower is just a foreign place where you don't know what is acceptable and what isn't. Your shower doesn't judge but all the others seem like they are. They look down on you and see you for your imperfections. Sometimes I cover up because I don't feel comfortable.
When showering at other people's places I don't know if I can play music or sing, maybe they have thin walls and are listening to everything I'm doing. I don't know how long I can spend in the shower because everyone has a set amount of time that is appropriate. It is just an uncomfortable situation. All I can think about when I'm in another shower is my own. I become homesick.

Using a shower knowing that the time you spent with that shower is only temporary is a little like a one night stand, you realize it's nothing special and know it is just to feel the gap that your last shower left because that last shower is all you can think about. That's all I'm thinking about.

Showers from my Eyes

A shower is a place of serenity. No one judges, no one cares. This is why the shower is the perfect place to let all your feelings out. I'm talking about crying homies.
No one will walk in on you crying because they know you are showering. No one will intrude your shower time, it's an unspoken rule that showering is a sacred thing. Save all your tears throughout the day and let it all out in the shower. Put on some music or maybe you like it silent, it is totally up to you. Embrace the steam and let yourself be absorbed by its mist. Accept that maybe the shower is a metaphor for you, letting all your tears out and cleaning yourself(your mind). Stay in there as long as you need. The world can wait a little longer, this is your time.
Everyone needs a good cry every once in a while, I know I do. According to research it is very healthy for individuals to cry. In no way should crying be looked down upon but if you feel judged crying anywhere else the shower is there for you, it always will be. Personally I know it's always been there for me and I want you all to know it will always be there for you too.

Sitting in the shower

A close friend of mine just gave me maybe the best advice I have ever heard. the Isaac Rifleman had suggested a few months back to try sitting in the shower. The first time I heard this I was so weirded out and super skeptical but then one day I a lot of free time so I tried it.
It changed the way I saw everything. I swear I saw new colors. If Heaven exists I experienced it that momentous day.  I took a very long shower that day and I was probably standing for maybe two percent of it. Letting the rain of water just hit your lying body is so delightful. It's like a mini massage. Why stand if you can sit. Showers should be relaxing so might as well make it the most relaxing as possible.
Don't take a bath though it is so not the same thing. That is a totally different thing so don't try to compare sitting in the shower to taking a bath.
Everyone needs to go through this experience. Only if you have the time though because you are going to spend too much time in there if you start sitting down. One more thing, only sit every once in a while. If you keep sitting it won't be a treat anymore, it'll become a regular thing.

Power of Shower

Showers are the start of everyone's days and for some it's how they end their day. It's the basis of how our day will be like. In the shower all our problems fade away and nothing else matters. It is always a necessity to play music while showering. The music depends on how you are feeling at that exact moment. Maybe classical, maybe pop, maybe hardcore rap. The shower doesn't judge. Once you've chosen the perfect music that's where it begins. Feel the music, embrace it.
When in the shower dance if you feel like it, but make sure to be safe. Don't get out of control or anything. I totally dance in the shower. It feels as though the shower is one of the only appropriate places to dance and sing. What a shame.
Honestly I don't know why showers are so magical but in a way they are exactly what you need in that exact moment. Learning to enjoy your shower seems miniscule in the big picture but it is something all of us do everyday so we might as well find a little happiness in it.
